Admission to WIST
Requirements for Admission
Students seeking admission to WIST Bachelor's Degree
Program should
possess
A minimum of five (5) CXC/GCE O ' Level passes which must include
English Language .
A US high school graduate with a C grade or higher
and at least a C cumulative average also fulfills entrance requirements.
Students not having the five (5) passes but who are holders of a WIST
Diploma may also be admitted into the Bachelor's Degree
Program subject
to the Upgrading Policy.
Re-admittance
Students re-admittance to the module Bachelor's Program is based upon
the successful completion of the Diploma Program; Admittance to the
Advanced Certificate is based upon the following:
Two years of Christian experience
No student would be re-admitted if books and other materials signed out
in his/her name were not returned, replaced or compensated for by the
end of the last semester of each academic year.
Procedure
A non-refundable application fee of $30.00 U.S.
Copies of official certificates of secondary education.
Recommendations from each of the following:
A local businessman/employer or teacher
Recommendation forms will be supplied to you by the school's office.
A report from the student's medical doctor stating that he/she is
physically and emotionally able to undertake the level of study at WIST.
Medical forms will be supplied by the school's office.
Official Transcripts from other Institutions of tertiary learning attended.
A statement of sponsorship to cover expenses at WIST.
Two (2) recent passport size photographs.
Each student is expected to be interviewed by his/her District
Superintendent or denominational head.
PROCEDURE same as admissions requirements/register
Student applying to WIST should take the following into consideration.
- A non-refundable application fee of $30.00 U.S.
- Copies of official certificates of secondary education.
- Transcripts from previous tertiary educational institution.
- Recommendations from each of the following:
- Pastor, A Church official/leader, a local businessman/employer or teacher
- Two passport size photos
- Handwrite a personal testimony of your salvation experience your present relationship
with God and your present involvement in Christian service.
- A Medical Report
- A statement of sponsorship to cover expenses at WIST (Foreign Students)
- Each student is expected to be interviewed by his/her District Bishop or Denominational Head.
Mature Students
Each year a limited number of places are open to persons thirty years
and over who do not have the academic entry requirements but who have
more than five years experience in Christian work. Such persons are
usually admitted as probationary students.
Foreign (Non Resident) Students
Overseas applicants must give satisfactory evidence of sufficient resources
to meet the financial cost involved in the educational program. Before
the student departs his/her homeland, he/she should have in his/her possession:
An Acceptance letter from WIST
A valid VISA to enter Trinidad & Tobago if required
